Art Club

  • 2018-2019

    • The Annual Impressions in Watercolor Exhibition sponsored by the Miami Watercolor Society - 4 students' artworks were accepted into the exhibition. Two kindergarten students received the Renay-Rossi award for the elementary division.

    • Art of Found Objects Exhibition: All 9 art club members works were showcased. Two artworks (group- art club students) awarded - One best of Best award and one honorable mention. Art teacher work selected for honorable mention award.

    • Fine Arts Exhibit at the Youth Fair. Two students selected by jurors to be displayed in Fine Arts Division.

    • Creative Visions at the Frost Art Museum - 7 students' works accepted into exhibition.  One honorable mention award recipient.

  • 2017-2018

    • The Annual Impressions in Watercolor Exhibition sponsored by the Miami Watercolor Society - 5 students' artworks were accepted into the exhibition.

    • Small Works Show at the Miami International University of Art and Design - 2 students' artworks juried into the show: a 5th grader was selected as the Elementary division winner of the Renay-Rossi Distinguished artist award.

    • Art of Found Objects Exhibition and for the Love of Art Silent Auction: All 15 club members artwork were showcased. One work was selected for the cover design of the art auction invitation. Two group works (art club group) selected for honorable mention awards. Two art teacher works selected for honorable mention award.

    • Fine Arts Exhibit at the Youth Fair. Two students selected by jurors and 1 student placed in the elementary division, 3rd place.  

    • SECME competition - banner and patch design.

    • Fairchild Tropical Gardens - Our Art teacher, Ms. Reboucas, received the Dynamic Perspective Awards.

    • Creative Visions at the Frost art Museum - 5 students' works accepted into exhibition.  One award of merit recipient.

Community Service Projects

  • Teachers of Tomorrow: Visited Chapman Partnership, a facility that serves the homeless in Homestead, Florida. Club members prepared sandwiches, went on a tour of the facility, and served lunch to approximately 250 individuals.

  • PACology: Students were in charge of collecting books that were taken to Pinecrest Creek in Orlando, Florida in order to expand their classroom libraries. Students labeled the donated books with AR levels, quiz numbers, and the amount of points each book was worth. 

  • NEHS and SECME Members: Students participated in the 2018 Baynanza Bay cleanup day.

  • Art Club: Recreated 30 Art Auction's cover art centerpieces for the ED fund event which raises money for art programs in our public schools.
